In
order to make our pets a bit more comfortable we will
have a number of different links and postings about and for
them here.
The
Department of Health with be giving free rabies vaccinations
for dogs and cats over four months of age. Microchipping will
be available. The vaccination for dogs will be "free" with
the purchase of a D.C. dog license (required in D.C.) which
is $10.00 for sterilized dogs (bring proof) and $35.00 for
unsterilized dogs.
For
Ward One it will take place at H.D. Cooke Elementary 2525 17th
Street N.W. (just below Columbia road). Dogs must be on a leash,
cats must be on a harness or in a carrier. For more information

The
things that one needs to know about having a city pet.

Dogs
do need to have a pet license, it will cost $10.00 this cost
is hirer if your pet is not spayed or neutered.

Make
sure that you clean up after your pet not only is the the
law but if you do not the rest of us suffer.
- Washington
Humane Society has a low-cost spay neuter clinic up on Georgia
Avenue, available to all DC pet owners.
